For as long as I can remember, movement has been a part of my life.

I started gymnastics at the age of two, then transitioned into competitive swimming by eleven. That path eventually led me to swimming at the Division 1 collegiate level, and by the time I finished high school, I had made it to Nationals. Fitness wasn’t just something I did, it shaped how I saw the world and how I showed up in it.

But it wasn’t until years later, after teaching Pilates and working with hundreds of clients, that I realized I wanted to take things further. I wanted to build something of my own. Something that combined my background in tech with my deep love for fitness, wellness, and helping people achieve real, sustainable results.

That’s how FitLab EMS came to life.

A Passion for Purposeful Movement

Over the last 10–15 years, I’ve immersed myself in all things health, wellness, and fitness. I’m not just a trainer, I’m a lifelong student. I became a certified personal trainer, earned advanced certification in EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) training, and began teaching reformer Pilates at a local studio here in Charlotte, where I’ve been coaching clients for nearly 3 years.

Even in those Pilates classes, I remember looking over at the person next to me and instinctively wanting to help them adjust their form. That moment of wanting to support others — to guide someone toward more effective, safer movement — never left me. It’s what pushed me to step fully into this work.

Why EMS? And Why Now?

I had been following the rise of EMS training for years, especially as it gained popularity in places like LA, New York, and Miami. The science behind it fascinated me. The way it stimulates motor neurons directly, activating a much higher percentage of muscle fibers (including those elusive fast-twitch fibers) than traditional workouts can. And because I’ve spent much of my career in tech, EMS felt like a natural fit. It’s my way of merging innovation with the deep-rooted physical training that’s always lit me up.

But EMS isn’t just high-tech — it’s high-impact.

It’s fast, efficient, and personalized. Whether you’re training for performance, recovering from injury, or just trying to fit something into a packed schedule, a 20-minute EMS session can create real change without the time commitment of a traditional gym workout.

Who I Love to Work With

I started this business because I know how easy it is to put yourself last — especially if you’re someone who’s busy building a career, raising a family, or just trying to keep up with the pace of life.

I’m passionate about helping busy professionals carve out time for their health. I want my clients to feel strong, empowered, and energized again. I’m equally inspired by athletes who want to take their performance to the next level, and I have a special place in my heart for people recovering from injury, because I’ve been there.

Last year, I had an injury that prevented me from lifting for eight months. It was tough, physically and mentally. But EMS helped me maintain strength, rebuild safely, and stay connected to my body. Now, I get to pay that forward.

What Wellness Means to Me

Wellness is everything — because without it, nothing else flows.
To me, wellness isn’t just physical. It’s about your mindset, emotional well-being, movement, and recovery. It’s the full picture.

Yes, I love lifting weights, running, hot yoga, Pilates, and walking outdoors. But I also value meditation, sauna, cold plunges, massage, and chiropractic care. Those are the things that keep me feeling grounded and aligned.

My mission through FitLab EMS is to make wellness accessible, personal, and effective, no matter where you are in your journey.
